Feature highlight: Pinning in Bridgit Field
Pinning is one of the power tools in Bridgit Field. It maximizes efficiency and quality, and can be used in a number of different contexts. You can activate it under the Tasks section in the app, and it is only available on the mobile version.
We recommend its use on a number of criteria, including Location, Assignees, Tags, and Due Date. If you’re currently using Bridgit Field and not taking advantage advantage of the pinning feature, you’re likely missing the opportunity to save yourself a substantial amount of time on site. Below is a video from our Knowledge Base, demonstrating how to pin using the Locations field:
4 use cases for pinning:
Plan out logging items to maximize efficiency: The more pinning you can do, the more time you’ll save overall.
Grouping like items: Categorize by area, location, trades, and items and do so in a logical/sequential order.
Tags: These are not only useful during construction, but also during PDIs. You can tag items to bring to the attention of the architect, pin that tag, and directly impact your data quality in a positive way.
Due date: This adds accountability, and the ability to see how many of your staff members have overdue items. This is also a great tool to leverage because it provides more information about when certain items should be completed, and allows you to implement standardized timelines for certain items (e.g. one week).
